Beasts of the Southern Wild

In a forgotten but defiant bayou community cut off from the rest of the world, six-year-old Hushpuppy lives with her tough but loving father Wink. Buoyed by her childish optimism and extraordinary imagination, Hushpuppy believes the natural world is in balance with the universe until a fierce storm alters her reality.

With her universe ‘busted’ temperatures rise, ice-caps melt and an army of prehistoric beasts is unleashed. Desperate to repair the damage and save her ailing father, Hushpuppy must bravely journey to the outside world.
